Cooler Weather, Stronger Connections: Dixon Police Department Announces 2025 National Night Out

Mark your calendars! The Dixon Police Department is excited to host National Night Out 2025 on Tuesday, October 7 from 5 to 8 PM — an annual celebration of community, connection, and public safety.

NEW DATE, SAME GREAT NIGHT

This year, Dixon is joining other Solano County law enforcement agencies in shifting the festivities to October, beating the heat and making it more comfortable for families and first responders alike. The move aligns with National Association of Town Watch guidelines, allowing communities flexibility to host their events in either August or October depending on local climate.

WHAT TO EXPECT

National Night Out is a free, family-friendly evening that brings neighbors together with the people who serve their community. Past events have included:

  • Food trucks and treats
  • Live music and games
  • Emergency vehicle tours
  • Police and fire demos
  • Giveaways for all ages

Whether you're new to town or a lifelong resident, National Night Out is a chance to connect with Dixon’s police officers, firefighters, city staff, and, most importantly, each other.

HOST A BLOCK PARTY OR JOIN THE FUN

Neighborhood leaders, HOAs, and community groups are encouraged to get involved by hosting their own block party or pop-up activity. It's a great way to build local connections and show pride in your corner of Dixon.

Applications to host a National Night Out event are available now at: dixonpoliceca.gov/nationalnightout

Let’s make this a night to remember — cooler weather, stronger neighborhoods, and a safer, more connected Dixon.
