On Saturday, August 16, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Dixon Police Department received a 911 call reporting a physical altercation inside Luke’s Lounge, located in the 200 block of North 1st Street.

Responding officers arrived within minutes and located a 21-year-old male suffering from life-threatening injuries to his torso. Officers and emergency medical personnel immediately rendered aid, and the victim was transported to a local hospital. Despite extensive lifesaving efforts, the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives have identified Brian Sweeney, 44, as a person of interest in this case. His current whereabouts are unknown.
