On October 31, 2025 at approximately 11:55pm the Dixon Police Department received a call of a shooting in the 100 block of South 1^st Street. Officers arrived on scene at 11:57pm and located a 36 year-old male with a gunshot wound. Officers administered first aid to the victim until the Dixon Fire Department arrived on scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
