At 4:56pm May 15, the Dixon Fire Department received a call reporting a structure fire on Porter Rd. north of Midway Rd. Dixon fire crews arrived on scene and located a second alarm fire that originated in an outbuilding and spread to an additional structure and nearby vegetation. The vegetation fire was approximately 1 acre in size. 

Dixon Fire received support from eight surrounding agencies. Dixon crews responded quickly to knock down the structure fire to prevent its spread to additional parts of the building. There are no injuries reported. 

As of 7pm, the fire has been extinguished and crews remain on scene to work on mop up.
